about

This is the first version recorded of Dead Ends. It has seen various versions over the years from this stripped back version to the full band version which can be heard on the Dark Matter EP. The debut album features a new acoustic version with Albrecht's Pencil.

lyrics

I am waiting for the moment to arrive when I fall asleep and it's over, and I find myself somewhere you aren't around. I have this to myself, and it's over.

Sometimes you find me out where you don't belong, but I bring you here because I can't get rid of you from my mind but I will try to make myself cause it's over.

I will keep to mind and grow in my heart.
Then I will see I'm right and fall into my heart.

I still wait to hear you call me in the night. Your manic thoughts in swing.. well they're over. I've exhausted myself and I've reached the end, the end of dead ends.... it's over.

I will keep to mind and fall into my heart.
Then I will see I'm right and grow in my heart.
Then I will make the time to know that I am hurt.
Then I will take the time to mend so I am not.

So don't go away...you don't know what you're leaving. Don't go away, you're leaving me behind. They'll all say your stupid interventions are falling prey to your breaking mind.
