about

Keep Me Calm is the first song written by Richard. Initially co-sung with friend Helen Connolly, it was developed into a brief life as a full band track, co-sung with Michael Kinloch (guitarist at the time). This version was never recorded and it was soon dropped but it later found new life in Berlin with Thérèse, back in its acoustic form heard in this recording.

lyrics

Do I feel braver for waiting outside?
You were my saviour take me alive.
Tell me it's over. Tell me inside.

With all your feelings maybe you're right.
You were my saviour burning out light.
Stay with me sober. Stay all the night.

Keep me calm, keep me calm before I wake up.
