about

One of the first tracks by Richard Davis, it has lived through various forms as acoustic and full band. Although only rarely performed acoustic now, a full band recording exists locked away and forgotten alongside another song that was dropped called 'I'll make you'.

lyrics

Don't hold me to my promise when you leave tonight.
I'm holding my breath on your next breath.
You stopped to turn to tease me with hesitated thought. You let your eyes wander and then you stopped letting yourself go to me.
Will you ever come clean?

Now I wait for you, I feel the tug tear my insides.
A word from you I don't think I'll hear...
but I'm still holding my breath.

Let out and let go before I fall.
I won't ever keep this up.
Stop letting yourself go to me.
Will you ever come clean?
